Destiny’s Child To Release Greatest Hits Album

Will you be rushing out to buy the trio's greatest diva hits...?

Everybody, “I’m a surviv-eeeer, whutt?! I’m not goin’ give upppp, whutt?!”….

Yes, the old-school diva tunes are back as Destiny’s Child are set to release a brand new greatest hits compilation this October.

The three-piece girl-band, made up of Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, will bring out the 14-track LP, entitled Playlist on October 8th.

The date is around the 15th anniversary of their debut single, No, No, No Part 2.

The trio’s first release in seven years will feature the hits we used to dance to, Bootylicious, Independent Woman Part 1, Say My Name and Bills, Bills, Bills.

But, we’re wondering here how well the album will do in the charts… will fans buy the record after so many years if they have their own collection of the hits?

The release follows the announcement from Beyoncé’s father, Mathew Knowles, that two Destiny’s Child albums featuring unreleased material would be released later this year.

Beyoncé has enjoyed a very successful solo career since her days with the girls.

However, last month Kelly said the group were not looking to reunite any time soon. Fans last saw them perform together at the NBA All-Star Game in 2006.

She said; “If [reuniting is] something that we would want to do, you know, [we would] but in the meantime we’re just enjoying each other’s friendship. That’s the greatest gift of Destiny’s Child.”

Will you be popping out to buy the new album…?
