‘Beer Fear’ Song Poses Threat to Little Mix?

She delivered one of the standout auditions of this year's X Factor so far but that doesn't mean Lucy Spraggan can do what she likes.

It seems ‘Beer Fear’ was the least of Lucy Spraggan’s worries this week as she was ordered to take her single and self-released album off iTunes.

The 20 year old singer earned herself a standing ovation from the judges and audience last Saturday night when she sang her self-penned song about the effects of alcohol.

Lucy’s tune climbed its way up the iTunes chart even making its way into the top three singles in both Ireland and the UK. But this success was soon cut short by X Factor bosses.

They apparently ordered her to take the song down. ‘I was asked by the people behind the X Factor… I took it down as soon as they asked,’ Lucy told Digital Spy.

This move by the show has sparked online rumours that the Kate Nash style singer posed a serious threat to last year’s winners Little Mix who’s single ‘Wings’ was also released this week.

While this obviously hasn’t been confirmed by the show, it isn’t the first time bosses have been seen to pull strings to benefit their own already-signed acts.

In case you missed it, here is Lucy’s song. Get ready for the flashbacks…
