Switch On And Drive Off: Five Tunes For The Road

Why not create the ultimate car journey with our latest song choices?

Her

If you’re going to be out and about on the road this weekend, you might like something to keep you company.

And we’ve got just the thing. In fact we’ve gathered five songs, with the help of our friends at MSL Ballsbridge, that will have you singing behind the wheel in no time.

Blank Space – Taylor Swift

This chart-topper is as catchy as can be and the perfect choon to get you in the mood for the weekend. We also recommend having a watch of the video if you haven’t yet. So. many. beautiful. outfits.

Harder Than You Think – Public Enemy

This one’s sure to get you grooving in your car. Although it was originally released in 2007, you’ll probably be most familiar with this song as the soundtrack to the Summer 2012 Paralympics. Enjoy!

Ignition (Remix) – R. Kelly

This still sounds as good as it did when it was first released in 2003 (yeah, we know, we’re getting old too). It’s the perfect driving song and it’s also guaranteed to put you in great form as you speed down the road.

Bang Bang – Jessie J, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj

This song is evidence of what happens when you pair two incredible singers with a rapper who has talent for days. ‘Bang Bang’ will get you fired up and ready to party with your friends. We love this tune.

One – Mary J. Blige and U2

Mary J Blige is firmly back on the scene with a brand spanking new album this week which reminded us of this gorgeous re-make of the classic U2 hit. We defy you not to sing along to this one.
