It has to be one of the biggest banes of our lives.
Getting our cars tested for the NCT might well be one of the most dreaded chores every year, but now it looks like we’ve found the reason why cars fail the test so much.
According to the NCT centre’s website, there are five common problems that the majority of cars fall down on in the test centre.
Last year, the main failures were: front suspension, tyre condition, headlamp aim, brake line/hoses and stop lamps.
Meanwhile in 2013, steering linkage was also listed as a top five cause for failure
