9 stunning photographs of the supermoon from around the world

Ciara Knight

It is said to be the largest moon in 69 years (lol grow up).

A supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a bew moon with the closest approach the moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth, obviously.

If the clouds play ball, we might be lucky enough to witness a supermoon over Ireland tonight. It’s going to be 14% bigger and 30% brighter than usual. Aww class.

Here’s 9 stunning photos of the supermoon as seen around the world last night.
