While 90-year-old Bill Moore was serving in Europe in WWII, he wrote many letters to his loved ones.
The subject of these letters was often Bernadean Gibson; the object of his affection and his would be wife.
In 1945, at 20 years of age, Bill wrote “My darling, lovable, alluring Bernadean, I ran out of space, but I could have written a lot more adjectives describing you. You are so lovely, darling, that I often wonder how it is possible that you are mine. I’m really the luckiest guy in the world, you know. And you are the reason.”
The love letter preceded 63 years of marriage.
Now, some 70 years later a woman has found the letter in the sleeve of a record in a second hand shop in Colorado. She tracked down Bill and returned the letter to him. It’s an emotional read for Bill who lost Bernadean in 2010.
