It’s been some year for them!
Team Montenotte Hotel continued their unbeaten run for 2015 after an 87 to 65-point win over Meteors this weekend.
Unsurprisingly, Niamh Dwyer was one of the key performers for the team, netting a whopping 28 points on the day.
Speaking afterwards, the talented player stated: “We gave up 24 points to them in the first quarter and for a team that prides itself on defence, we weren’t happy.
“Credit to Meteors but we’re defending Women’s Premier League champions and I’d like to keep it that way.”

Elsewhere, Maxol WIT Wildcats spoiled the party at the first ever Women’s Premier League game in Laois with a 62-60 win over Portlaoise Panthers.
Meanwhile, Courtyards Liffey Celtics snuck by UL Huskies in Limerick with a 62 to 58-point win, while Singleton SuperValu Brunell were 70-51 winners over Pyrobel Killester.
It looks set to be another fascinating basketball season, with all eyes closely watching to see will Team Montenotte Hotel be knocked off the top this time round.
