*Goes in search of hot water bottle*
You may enjoy the weekend ladies and gentleman as it looks like there’s a batch of wet and windy weather headed our way next week, and it might just be time to take the Ugg boots out of hibernation.
Yes, we said it.
But hey, it can’t just be us that’s been absolutely freezing this week right?
This weekend is expected to be mostly dry, with frost and fog early on Saturday which should lift to make way for some sunny intervals.
It will remain quite cloudy, but temperatures will reach 11 to 14 degrees.
A-woohoo.
Meanwhile, Saturday night will remain dry once more with some fog and frost going into Sunday morning.
Sunday and Monday will both remain dry with some light wind and clouds.
On Tuesday, however, the weather is expected to take a turn for the worse, with gales expected in many areas as the winds strengthen.
A colder day all round, rain is set to develop into the evening, getting particularly heavy in parts of Ulster and Connacht.
The rain will become widespread across the country on Wednesday with strong winds.
Oh well… At least we’ll be heading into a bank holiday weekend at that stage.
