A few weeks ago, experts said that your sleep style says a lot about your relationship and now it’s all about how you and your partner kiss.
As we know, there are a number of ways to kiss and Phil Mutz of Little Things has deciphered the meaning behind certain smooches.
The ‘gentle kiss’ is all about anticipation and tends to lead on to more physical intimacy. Phil notes that this happens between people who are deeply comfortable with each other.
At the beginning of a relationship, a ‘peck’ is about ‘testing the waters’ and as the relationship grows, this can be an affectionate way to greet your partner.
The ‘single-lip’ kiss is when you kiss just one of your significant other’s lips and apparently, this is a kiss that is ‘truly all about love’.
Up next is the French Kiss and it’s not too much of a surprise to say this one is all about getting to know your partner better.
A sloppy kiss then (and we don’t particularly care for the term) is an open-mouthed kiss without abandon and it often means you and your partner get up close and personal.
It’s a sign of ‘intense energy and a good physical relationship’.
A kiss on the cheek can show that you and your SO share a strong friendship in addition to your relationship.
The ‘angel kiss’, when you kiss another person’s closed eyelid can show trust between two people, according to Phil.
He also said that this type of kiss means you want to take care of your partner and it ‘signifies security’.
Another type of kiss is the ‘nibble’ where you bite gently on your other half’s lips and it is the sign of a feisty union.
Phil is of the opinion that this can suggest a ‘healthy, and perhaps athletic, sex life’.
Last but not least, is the Spiderman kiss, (hello Peter Marker and Mary Jane Watson, Summer and Seth) and although an upside down kiss isn’t practical, it shows spontaneity.
If your partner is lying down and you kiss them, Phil says that ‘you each still share a sense of excitement, and you love the opportunity to sneak up and lay an unexpected kiss on your partner’.
