There were 63 goals in 13 games over the weekend…
We did warn you that the NFL Division 2 showdown between Cavan and Donegal on Sunday was set to be a cracker and it certainly lived up to – and indeed exceeded – all expectations as did much of the action elsewhere.
The two sides, who had both been unbeaten ahead of the clash, actually remained unbeaten on the day as a late goal from Cavan’s Sarah Murray saw the final whistle blow on a tied scoreline 2-10 apiece.
Donegal still have the edge on the table in terms of points’ difference, and we’re pretty sure that there will be yet another mighty clash should the pair meet further down the line.
Elsewhere, in Division 2, Kildare certainly had their scoring boots on netting a whopping 10-17 to Down’s 3-10, Armagh overcame Meath 6-17 to 1-0, while Westmeath had points to spare over Clare 0-13 to 1-6.

On to Division 3 and Roscommon were 3-15 to 1-10 winners over Fermanagh, Leitrim had just two points to spare over Wexford, 2-13 to 2-11, while Sligo were 4-18 to 1-6 winners over Tipperary.
In Division 4, Limerick continue to dominate with a 1-13 to 2-6 win over Offaly. Louth were all about the goals, netting 7-11 to Derry’s 1-0, while it was neck-in-neck between Antrim and Wicklow, the former just sealing victory by one point, 2-10 to 3-6.
