The older women in our lives got many things very right, which is why we’re recycling all the trends of their youth year on year. However, we can’t really say that this is one granny-style accessory we saw catching on.
The most unlikely “must-have item” to hit the high street in decades, the shopping trolley is apparently in fashion.
Department store Debenhams report that the humble trolley has had a style makeover and is firmly at the top of any fashionistas’ wish list for the coming season.
Karen Nason, Debenhams Ireland spokesperson says; “After being inundated with requests to stock fashion focussed ‘granny shoppers’, we have introduced a range of colourful and chic trolleys that any stylista would happily wheel around.
“The range makes shopping trolleys look more Fearne Cotton than Dot Cotton, Granny chic has reached a whole new level.”
