Life as a princess isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Certainly not in Westeros anyway.

Game of Thrones actress Aimee Richardson has taken to Vine to express her feelings after learning her part was to be recast.

Until recently, Richardson played Myrcella Baratheon in the hit HBO adaptation of George RR Martin’s series of fantasy novels. Myrcella, for those who need a refresher, is the middle Baratheon child; younger sister of Joffrey and older sister of Tommen.

During season two of the show Myrcella was sent to live in Dorne in a deal brokered by her uncle Tyrion, designed to bolster a Lannister alliance. A Vine posted after the Purple Wedding episode aired suggested that Aimee was biding her time until Myrcella’s return to centre stage.

However, it seems those hopes have since been dashed, as it was announced at Comic-Con that the role had been recast and Nell Tiger Free will play Myrcella for the coming season, which is set to take place largely in Dorne.

Aimee took the news in good grace it seems, and got straight back on the jobs market. Well played.
