Welcome to The Bride Files – covering all things related to weddings as Laura prepares for her big day.
A few weeks back I told you about some great wedding props available for hire and purchase for your wedding. I’ve spotted some more props from Irish companies that will make great additions to your wedding day and will also provide memories for years to come.
The first is an illustration which can be displayed at your venue. There are some beautiful handmade versions available from Irish designers, such as Fee Bugs Made With Love.
For the pictures, Fiona, the owner and designer, gathers information about the couple and creates a beautiful one off illustration. It’s a lovely way to share your journey as a couple with your wedding party.

A popular trend at weddings these days are fingerprint trees. They act as a guestbook where people put their finger in coloured ink and place it on a picture to create a leaf on a tree. Once every guest has put their print on the page it creates a full tree.
Fingerprint Mementos are an Irish company who specialise in the trees and were the first company in the country to produce them.

They also don’t limit themselves to tree designs with a variety of different pictures to be filled in with finger prints.

They have other popular products like drop frames and jigsaws but they have found the fingerprint trees are always a huge favourite.
You could go one step further and get a fingerprint wooden tree as well. A company called Wood Wishes makes beautiful handmade fingerprint trees made from a variety of woods such as yew, ash, elm, sycamore and beech, among others.

Paul the owner doesn’t use any machinery to create the fingerprint trees, but instead carves them with a little pyrography pen, time and patience.
The standard fingerprint trees from Wood Wishes are customised with the couples names and the date of their event, though other customisation is possible if you request it.
Giant letters are another great addition to your wedding venue. They double up as props for photos and as a nice backdrop. Lots of Irish companies, like Wedding Letters Ireland and Light up Letters and Magic Mirror Ireland, provide them for hire.
You can go for your initials:

Or you can opt for the word LOVE for your backdrop:

Most of the giant letters available for rent feature lights so will carry from day to night as background props.
