A wedding guest was shocked and appalled to have received a note from newlyweds thanking them for their attendance but claiming that the present they gave wasn’t sufficient enough.
A user on Mumsnet wrote into the forum to ask for advice in their awkward situation and explained that they had given a cheque for £100, an amount they thought was more than enough, but had received an email suggesting they should give more money.
They received this message:
“We were surprised that your contribution didn’t seem to match the warmth of your good wishes on our big day. In view of your own position, if you wanted to send any adjustment it would be thankfully received.”
Naturally, people are agreeing with them that it was an inappropriate email to send.
