Storm Frank is expected to hit around midday and Met Éireann has issued a number weather warnings.
Winds are expected to be severe from this afternoon and there’s a national Status Orange warning in place.

In addition, RTÉ reports that the national forecaster has issued an orange wind warning for Wicklow, Galway and the southern coastal counties.
Further to this, an orange wind warning has been issued for Clare, Kerry and Connacht with gusts of up to 120km/h predicted for this evening.
There’s flooding in many parts of the country because of heavy rainfall in recent days and AA Roadwatch are posting updates on what roads to avoid.

A number of ferry services have been cancelled too while Kerry Airport announced some flight cancellations via Twitter.
