When five-year-old Sophie Flynn met her grandmother for the first time – her family got a big surprise.
Brenda Brock, 82, suffers from dementia and is also blind, but when she met her granddaughter Sophie, who is from Co. Offaly, the pair shared an instant bond.
The video, uploaded by Sophie’s granddad, has touched hearts across the world and has been viewed more than 100,000 times on Facebook.
Sophie’s mum Sarah told The Mirror: “Sophie just jumped straight into bed with Nana and started chatting to her and singing to her and stroking her face.
“Sophie brought her back to life. It was amazing, we just couldn’t believe it. When they were together it was like they were the only two people in the room.”
