A horrendous video has surfaced showing the moment a woman was sexually assaulted on her doorstep on Monday evening.
The footage has been shared by police in an attempt to catch the suspect – who is seen aggressively grab at the woman in her 20s as she attempted to open her front door in Clapham, south-west London.
The area is a popular renting location for London Irish.
The video shows the woman glancing over her shoulder before attempting to open her door, before a man stalked up on her from behind.
Moments later the alleged attacker is seen fleeing from the camera’s angle.
The woman, who chose to remain anonymous, told the MailOnline:
“I was so afraid. That’s all I could think of. That’s all that was going through my head.
“It was 8pm at night, there were people walking home and it was busy. I have lived on that road for more than five years and I have never felt unsafe there before.”
Police are now investigating the incident, confiming:
“Detectives in Lambeth are investigating an allegation of sexual assault at 20:15hrs on Monday 26 October in the Clapham area, SW2.
“A woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted by a man. Enquiries ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.”
