On Tuesday organisers of Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) announced Cory Monteith’s last film, “McCanick”, will join this year’s lineup.
Monteith, who passed away one month ago from a toxic mix of drugs and alcohol, plays a drug addict who is sent to jail for murder and after receiving parole is chased by a unhappy police officer.

Monteith’s appearance is very far away from his clean-cut image in Glee.
The film’s director, Josh C. Waller, told People Magazine how much Monteith wanted the role.
“He was like, ‘I can do this character. I know this character. I was this character. I have lived elements of this.’ He said, ‘I was a troubled youth.’”
