Were you planning on getting down and dirty with your man tonight? You might want to reconsider because according to a new survey, Thursday is one of the unsexiest days of the week.

While Thursday is relatively unsexy, the day that has taken the top spot in terms of a lack of desire is Tuesday. Apparently on Tuesdays, couples are more likely to bypass sex and go straight to sleep than on any other day of the week.
Unsurprisingly, Friday and Saturday topped the polls as the most popular days to have some fun under the covers. Why is this? Well as the weekend approaches we all get more relaxed and tend to lose our inhibitions a little bit.
So what kind of sex are we having then? The survey revealed that 66 per cent of women and 88 per cent of men admitted that they like to do it with the lights on – mainly because they love seeing their partner’s face and body.

Men felt that they were most likely to initiate sexy time with their other half, however 46 per cent of women disagreed and said that they’re the ones who are responsible for making the first move. 73 per cent of the men questioned said that they wouldn’t say no if their woman gave them a suggestive wink or asked them to follow her into the bedroom. Likewise, 46 per cent of women said that they wouldn’t refuse their fella if he suggested that they heat things up.
The most common reason for turning down some sexy was tiredness, followed by the age-old excuse of having a ‘headache.’
Both men and women said that when they wanted a bit of naughty fun with their other half, they were most likely to start things by giving their other half a lingering kiss or a gentle caress.
“I think this shows that we are all becoming far more relaxed and honest about sex,” said Richard Longhurst, one of the co-founders of LoveHoney.
“It is healthy that outdated euphemisms for saying no such as ‘I’ve got a headache’ have largely died out. And it is great that most women love to have sex with the lights on and almost half of women say they make the first move,” he added.
