Earlier today, a Virgin Atlantic plane bound for Las Vegas was forced to make a “non standard landing” at London’s Gatwick airport.
After a technical issue with one of the landing gears was discovered, the Boeing 747 landed without incident on the runway, with emergency services awaiting the plane’s arrival.
According to Sky News, passenger Mike Kaufman said the landing had been “textbook” and that people were calm, but that passengers had to get in the brace position.
Mr Kaufman said the crew had described it as a hydraulic problem.
