As the old Garth Brooks’ hit goes, the thunder rolls and the lightning strikes… and for one man, he know this all too well.
A man on his iPhone filmed the video earlier this week, at Lake Cuyamaca in South California.
As he stood observing a storm that was brewing a lightning bolt came out of nowhere (well, it did, the sky actually) and hit him on the foot, knocking him to the ground.
The iPhone falls out of the man’s hand after he is struck and all that can be heard is shocked voices making the very obvious suggestion that they should get out of there.
Thankfully he managed to escape the incident unharmed and even commented on his Twitter account that he was “feeling lucky” afterward… Bit of a Daft Punk being so close, if you ask us. We’re sorry, that was lame, we’ll try better next time, we promise.
