We all know that in advertising terms, “sex sells”, but one Australian condom company decided to take the term to the next level. Four Seasons condoms thought of one marketing ploy to make sure their brand were simply unforgettable.
Advertisements regularly showcase and display the product they’re selling in use, with condoms, we are all very well aware just how they work.
The advert, written and directed by the Australian comedian Gary Eck, features a naked couple in a chemist trying on various sizes of condoms for comfort.
The adverts are based around the sexual adventures of characters, ‘Raquel and Tyson’. The advert was unsurprisingly banned from TV, however quickly became an online viral hit.
“The idea behind the ad was to make buying condoms like buying a pair of shoes. If you’re not sure of your size, well, just try one on. Have sex. Make sure it’s fits perfectly. Naked Condoms come in four sizes, so of course our heroes Raquel and Tyson had to try on all them to make sure,” says Eck.
We understand that is a bit risqué but we have to give Eck credit where it’s due, we did appreciate the pun at the very end… “Come again.”
