Gina Giaffoglione was told that it was likely she would never walk again after she was left paralysed from the waist down following a horrific car accident back in 2008.
But the athlete, who still does a bit of sports coaching, was determined to walk down the aisle when her other half John Springhower asked her to marry him.
After 18 months of intense physical therapy, and a helping hand from her father, she did exactly that.
Speaking about it, her dad told KETV7: “I told her whether we roll down that aisle or whether we walk down that aisle, we’re going to do this, whichever way we have to do it. It’s been her dream.”
