Two Irish business have been served with enforcement orders by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.
Earl’s Delicatessen located at the School of Architecture in University College Dublin has been served with a closure order.
The Food Safety Authority deemed that Earl’s was “likely to be a grave and immediate danger to public health”.
Sheehan’s Butchers in Caherciveen, Co Kerry was given a prohibition order after violating food safety regulations.
The Irish Times reports that the prohibition order relates to unlabelled beef in a walk-in cold room, and also beef that was found out of date.
Two other businesses, Kelleghan Catering Ltd in Tallow, Waterford and Millbridge Meats, were ordered to pay fines for breaching EU regulations on the hygiene of foodstuffs.
