Twitter’s newest update entitled “Moments” launched today and it’s getting a lot of attention.
It’s only available in the United States at the minute where users can access it by pressing the new “lightning tab” which allows access to numerous tweets, pictures, GIFS and Vines.
The social media site wants to present the news to people as it happens and the interesting thing about this new tool is that it’s constantly updated.

Speaking about Moments, product manager Madhu Muthukumar said: “Among them are things you can’t experience anywhere but on Twitter: conversations between world leaders and celebrities, citizens reporting events as they happen, cultural memes, live commentary on the night’s big game, and many more.
“We know finding these only-on-Twitter moments can be a challenge, especially if you haven’t followed certain accounts. “But it doesn’t have to be”.
Moments aim to give the user as much or as little news as they please and it is expected to be introduced for users around the world in due course.
Not yet seeing the Moments tab? We’re rolling out over the next few hours, first in the US and soon to other places around the world. ⚡️ — Twitter (@twitter) October 6, 2015
