TV3 made our day when it was revealed that it was bringing back Blind Date after buying the rights.
But now it seems the broadcaster has decided against reviving the dating show with Lucy Kennedy as host.
According to the Herald, new director of content Lynda McQuaid wants to do something different.

Cilla Black originally hosted the dating show.
A source told the publication: “Blind Date has been scrapped – Lynda feels the format is outdated and tired, they want to do something fresh.”
The insider added: “Lucy will be fronting another show but it’s not likely to be a dating show.”

Lucy Kennedy will now be hosting another show.
