97-year-old Sid Ratcliffe and 90-year-old Iris Law married on Wednesday in a small ceremony surrounded by friends and family in Wolverhampton, Britain.
This makes them Britain’s oldest couple and their story is rather sweet.
Sid and Iris met at a bus-stop in 2001 and this marked the start of an epic romance.
Iris told SWNS news, “We lived opposite each other so we got the same bus together and it was love at first sight. Sid was just so funny and was very strong, I like that in a man.”

The couple has been dating ever since taking trips to Majorca, Spain and even New York for Sid’s 90th birthday but only decided to get married six weeks ago.
“It has been on the cards a while and they have thought about it but they weren’t quite sure how to go about it. They weren’t even sure if they were too old,” said Pam James, daughter of Iris.
Iris said some very touching words about her big day, “It was a beautiful day. I loved all of it. It’s definitely never too late, it’s love. Now we are just going to enjoy each day and I will look after him and he will look after me.”
