It was no surprise when it was announced that the US were going to try to make their own version of hit show The Inbetweeners.
With most remakes there will always be a certain level of scepticism especially when the original is such a huge success and seems almost perfect in its pure form.
Then again the US version of The Office, for which you could say the very same things, became huge across the pond. Although it has very much created its own plot and identity now.
Anyway back to the point, the trailer for the US version of The Inbetweeners was released earlier today and already the backlash has begun.
Fans so far are, to put it mildly, not encouraged by the sneak peek which sticks closely to the original British show in terms of plot but notably lacks the same charisma, humour and appeal.
