Finding Nemo II and Toy Story IV may be in the works if Hollywood rumours are anything to go by.

Pixar have already confirmed a sequel to their 2001 smash-hit film Monsters Inc., Monsters University, which is set to hit cinemas in 2013.

The Toy Story and Finding Nemo sequels are thought to already be in development.

According to the BBC, Tom Hanks who voices Woodie in the popular Toy Story franchise said that he believed a sequel to the film was already “being worked on.” The Toy Story franchise has become one of the most successful and lucrative in the history of animation.

Finding Nemo II is also being discussed. The original movie, which portrayed the story of a lost, motherless clownfish was a huge hit in 2003 and featured the voice of Ellen DeGeneres. Finding Nemo raked in nearly $900 million at the box office and also won an academy award.

The film’s original director Andrew Stanton is keen to resurrect the childhood favourite.

Her.ie is beyond excited to see our favourite characters hit the big screen again, we just hope Hollywood does them justice.

In the meantime here’s the Monsters University Trailer.
