You may remember Johnny O’Loughlin from the Toy Show where he impressed viewers with his own weather boardgame.
His night was made when his hero Evelyn Cusack surprised him live on air.
RTÉ have helped the boy from Ennis, Clare, achieve another dream by providing him with the opportunity to present his first ever weather forecast. The station decided he was the perfect man to deliver a report on Santa’s mammoth journey, delivering presents to boys and girls around the globe.
And Johnny has taken his job very seriously, reminding all boys and girls of an important message.
“It is important to remember that Santa does not deliver presents to the children who are still awake, so, if you are still awake when he arrives, he will move on and you will disrupt his journey. So make sure you get to sleep early on Christmas Eve. The weather is very unpredictable at the moment but we are not expecting anything that Santa cannot handle.” he says.
