Time Loops, Strictly and Secret Agents: The Best from Tonight’s TV

It’s the weekend and what better way to kick back and relax than switching on the telly. Here’s the best of tonight’s TV. 

Strictly Come Dancing – BBC One (6.20pm)

Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly host the first of this weekend’s two shows. Who will come out on top?

 

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – Channel 4 (7.00pm)

Coulson takes the team to Peru to investigate an object codenamed 0-8-4. Clark Gregg stars, with Camilla Reyes, Ming-Na Wen and Brett Dalton.

 

Groundhog Day – Sky One (9.00pm)

A rude and obnoxious weatherman reporting on a town’s annual festivities finds himself caught in a time loop, where he’s forced to relive the same day over and over again. Comedy, starring Bill Murray, Andie MacDowell, Chris Elliott and Stephen Tobolowsky.

 

American History X – TV3 (10.50pm)

A neo-Nazi is thrown into prison for murder and eventually comes to see what he has done wrong. He soon discovers on his release that his younger brother is heading down the same extremist path. Drama, starring Edward Norton, Edward Furlong, Avery Brooks, Fairuza Balk and Stacy Keach.

 

Precious – BBC Two (11.10pm)

Harlem teenager Precious has endured years of abuse at the hands of her parents. Starring Gabourey Sidibe, Mo’Nique, Paula Patton, Mariah Carey, Sherri Shepherd and Lenny Kravitz.
