Storm Gertrude is expected to hit Ireland tonight with Met Éireann issuing three weather warnings.
A Status Orange and Status Yellow Warning come into effect at midnight tonight and will be in place until 9am tomorrow and there’s also a marine warning.

According to The Irish Mirror, the Status Orange warning is for Donegal, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Sligo, Meath, Galway, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Dublin, Cork, Kerry, Mayo, Longford, and Waterford.
Counties including Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Westmeath, Carlow, Kildare, Roscommon, Limerick and Tipperary are affected by the Status Yellow warning.
The national forecaster predicts that it will become “windier in most parts of the country overnight as southwesterly winds increase to gale force in exposed places”.
Severe winds are expected and a Status Orange marine warning is in effect for all Irish coasts.
