This Weekend You… Should Hop On A Dublin Bus

There's more to Dublin Bus than commuting!

Her

Each weekend, we give you a suggestion on how to make your weekend a little more interesting and while some of the best of them can be weather-dependent, this one is a runner in rain or shine!

While Dublin Bus might be better known for ferrying you from the office to your house, they also run a series of much more interesting bus journeys that are a great way to pass a day.

Ghostbus

This week, a few of the Her team took the Ghostbus tour and we would definitely recommend this one. From the Crypt at Christchurch Cathedral to a tour of St Kevin’s Cemetery, the two-hour tour brings you around some of the city’s spookiest spots and the brilliant guides infuse their spooky tales with great humour to make this a really fun experience.

The tour runs all year round from Monday to Thursday at 8pm and Friday to Saturday at 7.30pm and 9:45pm. Tickets are priced at €28 and all the information is available here.

North Coast Tour

Sometimes it’s lovely to get out of the city at the weekend and the half-day North Coast and Castle tour brings together splendid views, amazing visits and incredible history. From the magnificent stories of Malahide Castle, one of Ireland’s oldest castles, to the unparalleled scenery at Howth Harbour, this is a great way to relax and see some of Dublin’s most beautiful spots.

The tour departs at 11am daily and is priced at €24/€12. All the info is here.

South Coast Tour

From Sandymount Strand to Dún Laoghaire and Bray Promenade, this tour also takes in the picture perfect village of Enniskerry, the stunning Powerscourt House and Gardens, complete with Renaissance grandeur, secret gardens and a pet cemetery and Glendalough.

The tour departs at 10.30am daily, with tickets priced at €28/€14, available here.
