We thought we’d heard it all when a baby was named Facebook and Hashtag.
Now one restaurant is looking for you to call your baby Quinoa… and they are willing to reimburse you with $10,000 worth of food to sweeten the deal.
US restaurant chain, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, are looking to promote their new range of quinoa dishes, and they obviously think looking to their family audience is the way to go.
The franchise, which has over 130 restaurants in its chain, will require contestants to supply their baby’s official birth certificates to prove their entries valid. So that means no skipping to a middle name for this poor unfortunate child.
While it’s a smart marketing ploy (because in fairness, we’re all talking about a new salad option for the franchise), we’re really hoping this plan falls apart.
Being a kid is hard enough without adding salad names to the mix.
That should be a lesson already well-learned from Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.
