This Moment of Kindness Captured in Galway Will Warm The Cockles of Your Heart

“It was a wonderful and completely unexpected gesture"

Cassie Delaney

Christmastime is a time for joy, giving and kindness.

One family captured this perfectly when they visited the Galway Continental Christmas market in Eyre Square.

Dad Morgan O’Brien got in touch with us to share the moment. “My young family and I have been recording daily family vlogs on YouTube for nearly a year now, so we luckily had the camera rolling for this.” he says.

The video shows a rare moment of kindness when a stall operator helps Morgan’s 2-year-old daughter to win a fair game.

Morgan tells us:

“We’re were all just having a fun evening out in the market, it was a wee bit wet and cold but the kids were having a great time. They are still a bit young for much the market has to offer but we like to let them have a go at everything. Robin sat on the edge of the carnival game but was a bit too small to throw the balls, so the lady, completely on her own swooped her up and gave her a helping hand.

“It was a wonderful and completely unexpected gesture. My wife and I were very grateful and humbled by her kindness. It’s a memory Robin will no doubt always hold dear; the first time she ever ‘won’ anything at a fun fair. Little Obi wasn’t left out either and was given a prize too!”

This is the kind of thing we love to see!
