There’s nothing more frustrating than being left hanging on hold for ages, the infuriating music driving your blood pressure up by the minute. If this has happened to you, spare a thought for this Canadian man.
Photographer and editor Corbin Smith who is based in Toronto has officially had the worst customer service experience anyone has ever had on planet Earth.
Smith made an order to Tiger Direct, a technology company. There was a problem with the order, so he decided to call customer service. Nothing could have prepared him for what happened next.
About to hit the one hour mark on hold with @TigerDirect/@TigerDirectca customer service. Is there a world record for something like this?

One hour, that’s pretty bad.
Well into hour 3 of this massive customer service fail by @TigerDirect & @TigerDirectca. This is absolutely nuts. pic.twitter.com/V6DmmAZTC9 — Corbin Smith (@corbinsmith) December 16, 2015
Well this has escalated.
HOUR 5. Worst customer service call in the history of everything. Wow, @TigerDirect @TigerDirectca, you’re terrible. pic.twitter.com/dSLvugglIX

World Record levels of rage.
I’m about halfway to a worst service call world record, it seems https://t.co/8dFRCz8coR @TigerDirect @TigerDirectca pic.twitter.com/2F483TqZZj — Corbin Smith (@corbinsmith) December 17, 2015
You have to carry on with your life yaknow?
#WhileOnHold, I pooped once and peed three times.

Have to hand it to him for this ingenuity.
#WhileOnHold with @TigerDirect customer service, I started a crowd funding campaign to pay for pizza. https://t.co/y6BileFP7W

OH GOD NO.
#WhileOnHold I learned that my cellphone cuts itself off at exactly the 8th hour of a call. Looks like this will start again in the morning. — Corbin Smith (@corbinsmith) December 17, 2015
There’s also a bit of a twist in this epic saga:
#WhileOnHold, I learned that both of @TigerDirect‘s founders are currently in jail. WTF? pic.twitter.com/X4Uy7xjlw3
