This Is Why Sex Might Actually Be Harming Your Relationship

Maybe it's time to double think that undercover action...

So apparently there can be too much of a good thing.

For those who like to get jiggy with it, you might want to take a breather from the bedroom.

Researchers have discovered that too much sex might actually dampen your spirits.

Scientists from Carnegie Mellon University tested the effects of extra-amorous couples against couples who maintained a normal and slower pace of life.

The study asked 32 married couples to double the amount of sex they were having, while a second group of 32 adult couples kept having sex at their regular, more ‘normal’ pace.

After a month, the couples were cross-examined… and the answers spoke for themselves.

The couples who increased their sheet seductions found they were less than satisfied in their relationships – blaming the increase in frequency as decreasing their desire for each other. They also said the loss of spontaneity had a negative effect on their love life.

Meanwhile, the couples who maintained their normal frequency reported signs of contentment and comfort, while maintaining their current sexual satisfaction.

Speaking about the results, Tamar Krishnamurti of Carnegie Mellon University said:

“The desire to have sex decreases much more quickly than the enjoyment of sex once it’s been initiated.”

So maybe less really is more. Or at least when it comes to the bedroom…
