Celebrities, politicians and sports stars have weighed in with their opinions ahead of the upcoming marriage referendum in Ireland, but none seem to have explained their message as succinctly as one Irish five-year-old.
Although little Ruby Gorry from Santry, Co. Dublin is absolutely adorable, the message she is putting across is extremely serious as she explains: “Love is love”.
“I’m so proud,” said her mother, Her.ie reader Sarah Gorry, who sent us in the video. “It’s something she feels very strongly about.”
“She had an argument her first week of big school back in September with a boy in her class,” she continued, adding that Ruby is in Junior Infants.
“She is very disapointed she can’t vote, so is making a ‘vote yes’ poster instead!”
Indeed, regardless of which side of the debate you stand, there’s no denying that Ruby will probably have won your heart by the end of this clip for sheer cuteness alone.
