We all know the scenario.
You’ll shout your name over the counter in Starbucks so they can write it on the coffee cup. It’s partly an endearing touch (ooh, they want to know my naaame) and it’s partly an efficient way to hand the cup over the counter to the correct customer. God forbid you’d get a double cream macchiato with chocolate on top instead of your double cream macchiato with caramel on top…
But is it really efficient when they get your name wrong 90 per cent of the time? At least we get a laugh from it…
