Off the Ball, arguably one of Ireland’s best loved radio programmes and essential listening for all sports fans, made an announcement last week that their presenters were departing Newstalk permanently. The radio station subsequently released a statement wishing the lads the best of luck and stated that the presenter’s departure concerned a blow-up over a new time slot.
The hosts followed with their own statement thanking Newstalk for their support over the years and promised that they would make a return to the airwaves.
Now it seems the boys have proved that they intend sticking to that promise by taking to twitter to keep everyone abreast of their future plans. They tweeted thanks for the support they have received over the last week and have also promised podcasts to keep all the addicts going until their return.
Although they couldn’t confirm exactly where they would be broadcasting from, the former Newstalk presenters confirmed they would be returning to the air shortly.
