We like to think of ourselves as a group of tough ladies here at Her HQ, but even the bravest of us gave a shudder when we saw these pictures from Mayo.
The spider is in Rhona’s shed.
Her.ie reader Rhona Sweeney McDaid sent us in some pretty creepy photographs from her home in Westport, Co. Mayo and we’ve got to say, we don’t think we’d be sleeping well at all at all.
“I have a couple of these bad boys living in my shed which I now consider ‘no man’s land’,” she explained.
“I will not go in there anymore. I wouldn’t go in even when there were only small spiders.”
We wouldn’t go back in there!
“A friend of mine has put the fear of God in me telling me that these aren’t normal and that I should get the EPA or some kind of exterminators in or possibly just burn the shed down myself.
“She said I should definitely ring someone about them, I’m not sure whether to ring the Samaritans or Joe Duffy!” she added.
“I considered burning it but there’s wine in there too and that would be sacrilegious to burn that. I was wondering are these normal in Ireland or should I be worried – so my friend put a picture of them up and people are saying crazy things about them.”
