It seems ‘Everlasting Love’ might just be a seriously catchy tune. (Don’t judge us)
While we might be embarking on arguably the most romantic weekend of the year, it seems that fidelity is the hot new topic doing the rounds – but not for the right reason.
It seems science and psychology blogger Eric Barker has been examining the reasons why some people cheat on their partner for Time, and the facts make for some grim reading.
So what should you be looking out for if you’re suspicious of your other half?
According to the research, there’s a long list of signs to keep an eye out for when it comes to sussing out if your partner is more likely to cheat:
Men are more likely to cheat if:
- Their partner is pregnant
- He’s more financially dependent on his partner
- He earns substantially more than his partner
- He is a risk-taker/ has high sex-drive
Women are more prone to cheating if:
- She earns more than her partner
- Is better educated than her partner
- Has a lower education level overall
The study also found married men are as likely to cheat as experience a flight delay, while women are more likely to cheat the more sexual partners she has had.
All very uplifting right?
Happy Valentine’s Day.
