What’s in a name?
When it comes to naming our pets, we go to great lengths to be as original as possible.
However, if you named your dog Alfie or your cat Charlie, you’re out of luck, as they are the most popular pet names this year according to a survey conducted by Animal Friends Pet Insurance.
The survey, spotted on JOE.ie saw over 60,000 dog, cat and horse owners questioned about their pet names and inspirations.
Food, TV and music were the biggest petspos, with names like Cookie, Marley and Bowie appearing frequently.
However it was the human names that came up trumps in the end:
