As the ancient Chinese proverb says “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life”.
Liking your job is a very important factor if it’s a job you’ve planned on staying in.
There’s nothing worse that not liking the job you’re in but when it comes to which job is better, there are definitely a few professions that seem to have all the luck compared to the rest of us.
According to METRO, research was conducted to find which job gives people to best satisfaction in their lives.
For the highest rated jobs, there seemed to be common factors like fair pay, appreciation for their work, control, variety and to be challenged daily.
The ten jobs that were revealed that make people happy
- Clergy
- Chief executives and senior officials of companies
- Managers of agriculture and horticulture
- Company secretaries
- Quality assurance and regulatory professionals
- Health care practice managers
- Medical practitioners
- Farmers
- Hotel and accommodation managers and proprietors
- Skilled metal, electrical and electronic trades supervisors
On the other end of the spectrum, the jobs which made people the least happy seemed to lie more in the hospitality industry.
Care workers and pub owners also were named in the list.
Top ten jobs that make people unhappy
- Plastics producing company operative
- Bar staff
- Care escorts
- Sports and leisure assistants
- Telesales
- Floorers and wall tilers
- Industrial cleaning process occupations
- Debt, rent and other cash collectors
- Construction workers
- Managers of licensed premises
