Ireland ranks pretttyyy low in the top 85.
When it comes to creativity and culture, we’d like to think that Ireland would rank pretty high. However it didn’t even make the top 40.
Travelbird ranked cities all over the world in terms of how inspiring they are.
The criteria for the winners included ranking highly among the following areas.
- Performing Arts Companies
- Art Schools
- Art Galleries
- Museums
- Film Industry
- Music Production
- Startups
- Romance
They then ranked the cities out of 100 in terms of how often they were searched for on Google along with the criteria above.
For example, they looked at how many times romance-focused keywords came up for a certain city and scored it out of 100.
In first place, the winner was Miami with an overall score of 100, this is probably largely due to the film industry and music scene there.
Bruges in Belgium came second while San Francisco, Bristol and Reykjavik rounded off the top five respectively.
Sadly Ireland only came in at number 41, however, it ranked extremely high in terms of startups with an score of 117.3 but ranked particularly low in art schools at just 1.27.
