Well, at least he is honest!

The Script Frontman Danny O’Donoghue has revealed he’d love to see the band become bigger than world-famous rockband U2.

The Irishman has always shared his admiration for the Dublin rockband and he said he would like to think he is as “honest” as Bono in his music style.

They fit that blueprint of being able to be brutally honest but still accepted for it,” he said.

There is a ‘too cool for school’ attitude that’s in music now, and that’s a load of sh**e, that’s not what art was created for.”

Danny has been known to write songs from his heart. He wrote a song about the death of his father, Shay, who was a huge influence in his music career and their upcoming third album ‘#3’ expects to feature a song about his ex-girlfriend, Irma Mali.

He and his bandmate, Mark, who lost both his parents, sat down and wrote ‘If You Could See Me Now’, which is one of the main tracks on their new album, set for release on September 7th.

“Bono’s accurately able to describe his innermost, darkest moments and I try-I’m not there yet,” said Danny.

Their third album is being released amongst controversy of its premature leaked release online.

Danny said he expected it to happen and the band have used the leaking as part of their business plan.
