This strange/hilarious news story from Australia is guaranteed to give you a giggle...

Are you in need of a giggle on this chilly Wednesday evening? Yes? Then check out this hilarious news story from Australia. A cheeky goat has had all criminal charges against him dropped after he appeared in court today.

The Telegraph reports that Gary the goat was arrested back in August over an incident involving flowers. Basically Gary was out and about with his owner, Jim Dezarnaul (a popular comedian known as Jimbo Bazoobi), and he was spotted chowing down on some flowers outside the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.

Gary’s ownder was issued a hefty $400AUS fine, however, the tables have since turned after Gary made an appearance at his court hearing.

After hearing both sides of the story, Magistrate Carolyn Barkell said that while the accused goat had been eating the flowers when the police spotted him, there was no evidence that Mr Bazoobi had brought Gary out with the intention of vandalising vegetation.

Gary’s lawyer, Paul McGirr, told the court that the police had issued the wrong infringement notice because it related to a person and Gary wasn’t a person. He also said that it couldn’t be proved that Mr Bazoobi had encouraged Gary to eat the plants.

Gary himself did not give evidence in court and he made no comment on the verdict, but we imagine he’s feeling pretty pleased with himself either way.
