The NTA Nominations Are Out and Mrs Brown is There

Some of our favourite shows have made the nomination shortlist this year which makes us super excited for the awards which take place at the end of this month!

The National Television Award nominations are out and some of our favourite shows have made the shortlist including Mrs Brown’s Boys.

That’s right, Brendan O’Carroll’s hit show is up for Situation Comedy but has strong competition in the form of Absolutely Fabulous, Benidorm and The Big Bang Theory.

We’ll have our fingers crossed that Mrs Brown’s Boys takes home the award.

But it’s not the only show we’d like to see take home an award as Downton Abbey is also in with a chance in the Best Drama category but will have to see off Doctor Who, Merlin and Sherlock.

Speaking of Doctor Who and Sherlock, both Benedict Cumberbatch and Matt Smith are up for Best Male Drama Performance.

Popular period drama Downton Abbey is also in with a chance of winning a gong.

The usual suspects are up for Best Serial Drama (Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks) while Alan Carr and Graham Norton will be up against each other as well as I’m A Celebrity and TOWIE for the Entertainment Programme gong.

The awards also acknowledge Talent Shows with Britain’s Got Talent, Dancing on Ice, Strictly Come Dancing, The Voice UK and The X Factor all making the cut this year.

The latest series of Strictly Come Dancing has been huge but will it win?

For a full list of nominations, visit the NTA website and don’t forget to tune in for all the winners and of course the fashion on January 23rd.
