Okay, we’ll admit it – we love reality television talent shows. Fact. So it goes without saying that we were absolute thrilled when we heard about ITV’s latest talent show venture. Ladies, let’s just say it combines two of our favourite things: dogs and humour. D’aw.
The Irish Daily Mirror reports that comedian David Walliams is set to lend his voice to ITV’s new reality show entitled: Top Dog Model. Yes, seriously! (Is it sad that we’re a bit over-excited for this show?)
Anyway, Top Dog Model is a reality show that will hunt down the UK’s best-looking and well-behaved pooches that will then be put to the test by going through a series of Crufts-style challenges. The dogs will be judged on their talents by an X-factor style judging panel that will be made up of celebrities, including the X-factor’s very own Stacey Solomon.
And, as you’ve probably already guessed, David Walliams will be doing the voiceover for the programme.

David Walliams has already signed up for Top Dog Model.
“This is a light-hearted show so David is the perfect choice to give the narration a tongue-in-cheek feel. He loves his dogs so will give off some of that passion to the audience,” said a source, speaking about the programme.
Ladies, expect hilarious moments, some bitchiness (hah! See what we did there?) and more cute pooches than you can shake a stick at. We love it!
Top Dog Model will hit our screens on ITV2 later this year. We can hardly wait!
