The Latest X Factor Casualty Is Blaming Tactical Voting On Her Shock Exit

Jade Ellis is blaming the other judges of deliberately getting rid of her even though she performed better than fellow bottom two contestants Union J.

The mother of one who sang Dido’s ‘White Flag’ in the sing-off only received one vote to keep her in the competition from her mentor Tulisa and says that the judges are thinking about their own acts further down the line when casting their votes rather than basing their decision on the performances.

“I don’t think the decision on Sunday was based entirely on the sing-off. The vote could have been tactical. Maybe the judges thought Union J were less of a threat to their singers in the competition.”

Judge Gary Barlow was particularly harsh in his comments telling the 25-year-old “You’re a phenomenal singer, you’re incredible. But sometimes I worry I want this for you more than you do.”

The girls with their mentor Tulisa hit the red carpet

Londoner Jade admits that she was particularly upset by Gary’s comments and refused to speak to the Take That star after the show.

Defending her attitude she said “I don’t agree at all. I don’t think anybody would leave a young child at home for that length of time if they didn’t really want what they were doing to be a success. Maybe he wanted me to look a bit more desperate for it. He was probably the only judge that I didn’t speak to afterwards.”
